The Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) operates a 24-hour service to assist members of the public with concerns about press intrusion and harassment.
Between Monday and Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, you can contact IPSO on 0300 123 2220. For out-of-hours emergencies, you can reach a member of IPSO's staff via the 24-hour line, which is 07799 903 929.
Under the terms of the Editors' Code of Practice, IPSO can help individuals who are being harassed by a press journalist or photographer. In some cases, it is also able to assist – on a goodwill basis – with concerns about the actions of broadcast journalists, particularly where a press 'scrum' has formed and is causing distress.
