We consulted during April and May 2021 on the request from the BBC and ITV to broadcast exclusive live coverage of the UEFA European Football Championship Finals Tournament 2020. The Tournament is due to take place in 12 cities across Europe, including London and Glasgow, from Friday 11 June until Sunday 11 July 2021.
Ofcom received one response to the consultation in support of the request. Having considered the response to the consultation and the information supplied by the BBC and ITV in support of their application, Ofcom has decided to grant consent to the BBC and ITV’s exclusive live coverage.
