This statement confirms that, following a formal consultation, the Wireless Telegraphy (Exemption) (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2008 were made by us on 10 September 2008, and are coming into force on 1 October 2008. A copy of the regulations can be obtained through the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI).
The regulations exempt the use of:
- A number of Short Range Devices (SRDs) as set out in the European Commission Decision 2006/771/EC; and
- High Density Fixed Satellite Applications (HDFSS) in the 27.5 - 27.8185 GHz, 28.4545 - 28.8265 GHz and 29.4625 - 30 GHz bands .
