Numbering arrangements for Voice over Broadband services

This statement sets out Ofcom's decision in relation to numbering arrangements for new voice services . It is published as part of Ofcom’s package of documents intended to provide consumers, Communications Providers and other stakeholders more clarity on a number of important and strategic issues involving new voice services. Together with this statement on numbering arrangements, Ofcom has simultaneously published a consultation and interim guidance on new voice services, a summary document setting out the consumer issues covered in the consultation and an overarching strategic statement on the regulatory framework for VoIP and Voice over Broadband (VoB) services.
