An audio distribution systems restricted service licence (ADSRSL) is granted for the broadcasting of a service at a site to cover an event held at that site. Examples of a service include a referee's comments or commentary at a sports event, or translations at a conference.
ADSRSLs use frequencies that are not used by conventional AM or FM broadcast radio stations.
You can apply for a Broadcasting Act licence by using the form below. You will also need a Wireless Telegraphy Act licence before you can start broadcasting a service. You can apply for a Wireless Telegraphy Act licence separately through Ofcom’s Programme-Making and Special Events (PMSE) team.
