Consultation: Award of the 700 MHz and 3.6-3.8 GHz spectrum bands – Revised proposals on auction design

We have set out our proposals for making the auction regulations necessary to implement our revised design for the 700 MHz and 3.6-3.8 GHz spectrum auction.

We are preparing to award spectrum in the 700 MHz and 3.6-3.8 GHz band to enable the industry to provide services with greater capacity and wider coverage.

This document provides notice of, and invites stakeholders’ views on, Ofcom’s proposals to make four statutory instruments in connection with the award of spectrum in the 700 MHz and 3.6–3.8 GHz bands.

In this document, we set out for stakeholders the criteria and methodology we propose to impose for assessing compliance with the proposed coverage obligations, including the coverage model we intend to use.
