This document confirms one specific Ofcom decision on how telephone numbers will be regulated in the future. This decision concerns placing an obligation on originating communications providers (‘OCPs’) to follow the pricing-related requirements of the UK National Telephone Numbering Plan (‘the Plan’), for calls to 03 numbers and to 070 Personal Numbers (‘PNs’). This obligation affects how Ofcom can enforce those requirements.
