This is an interim update to our last Connected Nations report (December 2019), based on coverage and service availability information received from communications providers.
Reporting on these metrics is a key part of Ofcom’s role in ensuring that UK consumers and businesses have access to decent internet services and can make use of their mobile phones wherever they need to. This update tracks communications providers’ progress in increasing the availability of communications services, and how the UK’s networks are responding to the changing needs of people and businesses.
