News consumption in the UK has changed considerably. Online intermediaries, including social media, search engines, and news aggregators, have become important ways to access news, especially for younger people.
This economist discussion paper complements Ofcom's broader review of media plurality in the UK by focusing on one prominent online intermediary: Twitter. Using Twitter's API, we explored how users access news on the platform.
