Our Evaluation Toolkit is a useful how-to guide for planning and carrying out an evaluation of a media literacy intervention.
We created this toolkit because we want to empower those running media literacy interventions to evaluate their own projects, and use and share those findings to support the delivery of more effective initiatives in the future.
The toolkit is complemented by our outcomes bank, a set of 24 outcomes with example indicators and survey questions, structured around five areas, each corresponding with a different aspect of media literacy. It can assist with initial planning by helping you choose appropriate outcomes for project activities, and provide inspiration for indicators and data collection. You can find the outcomes bank below.
The guide is also complemented by two searchable online libraries:
This is the second version of the toolkit since it was first published in February 2023. This updated version, published in November 2023, is based on recommendations from a review we commissioned in March 2023. You can find this review below.
