Dylai pobl allu newid darparwr telathrebu yn hwylus er mwyn manteisio ar yr amrywiaeth o wasanaethau sydd ar gael. Mae newid yn fwy hwylus yn galluogi pobl i chwilio o gwmpas yn hyderus i ddod o hyd i'r pris a'r gwasanaeth gorau ar gyfer eu hanghenion. Gall anawsterau yn y broses newid atal pobl rhag newid darparwr. Mae newid yn effeithiol hefyd yn bwysig o ran cefnogi buddsoddiad cystadleuol mewn band eang cyflymach a mwy dibynadwy a rhoi hwb i nifer y bobl sy'n manteisio arno.

Ym mis Chwefror 2021, gwnaethom ymgynghori ar gynigion ar gyfer proses newid newydd i gwsmeriaid llinell dir a band eang preswyl. Gwnaethom hefyd gynnig rhai newidiadau cyfyngedig i'r wybodaeth y mae'n rhaid i ddarparwyr ffôn symudol ei rhoi i gwsmeriaid preswyl pan fyddant am newid.

Ym mis Medi 2021, gwnaethom gyhoeddi ein penderfyniadau terfynol ar y newidiadau hyn, gan gynnwys ein gofyniad am broses 'Newid Un Cam' newydd sy'n golygu y bydd angen i gwsmeriaid llinell dir a band eang gysylltu dim ond â'u darparwr newydd i newid. Gwnaethom ymgynghori hefyd ar newidiadau arfaethedig i'r Amodau Cyffredinol i roi grym i'n penderfyniadau ar newid darparwr band eang, llinell dir a symudol.

Rydym hefyd wedi cyhoeddi ein penderfyniadau terfynol ar y newidiadau i'r Amodau Cyffredinol. Bydd y newidiadau hyn yn dod i rym ar 3 Ebrill 2023.
