Memorandum of Understanding between Ofcom and Metering Billing Approval Bodies

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) sets out the functions of Ofcom and its Approval Bodies in ensuring that a consistent and coordinated approach is taken in assessing and monitoring Communication Providers' compliance with the Metering and Billing Direction adopted by Ofcom on 31 July 2014 ("the Direction").

The MoU has been agreed by Ofcom and its Approval Bodies: BABT, BSI and Enigma QPM and aims to provide greater transparency on how compliance with the Direction will be consistently monitored to in order to ensure accurate billing for consumers.
