The Premium Rate Services Register

Cyhoeddwyd: 31 Ionawr 2025

Ofcom has a statutory duty to establish and maintain a register under The Regulation of Premium Rate Services Order 2024 (‘the PRS Order’).

This register includes information about the providers’ organisation, key persons including those with regulatory responsibilities, services offered and related numbers. The PRS register also includes details of any exemptions which have been notified to Ofcom.

PRS providers must register with Ofcom at least five working days before carrying out regulated activity, unless they are exempt from registration requirements. Registration requirements are set out in Part 2 of the PRS Order and Schedules 1 and 2.

Ofcom is also required to publish details of any enforcement notices, serious contraventions, interim measures for providers, or any other such information as Ofcom considers appropriate for the purposes of carrying out its duties. This information is published on Ofcom’s Enforcement webpage

Please see Operating a Premium Rate Service for information about how to update the PRS register.

Please direct any feedback on your experience of the PRS Register to PRSRegistration@ofcom.org.uk
