Ofcom has given consent to the BBC to broadcast live coverage of the 2012 London Olympic games which are due to take place from the 27 July to the 12 August 2012.

Ofcom received no adverse responses within the time frame stipulated in the request for comments from interested parties.

The rules on listed events, including the criteria which broadcasters must meet in order to obtain consent, are set out in the Code on Sports and Other Listed and Designated Events which can be found on Ofcom's website.
