Amendment to the Statement of Charging Principles - Definition of Relevant Activity

Published: 28 February 2011
Consultation closes: 28 March 2011
Status: Closed (statement published)

This statement follows a consultation by Ofcom to enable stakeholders the opportunity to comment on the proposal to amend the definition of relevant activity.

A single supportive response from UKCTA was received.

Ofcom has amended the definition of Relevant Activity in chapter 4 of the Statement of Charging Principles to:

  • the provision of electronic communication services to third parties;
  • the provision of electronic communication networks, electronic communication services and network access to communication providers; or
  • the making available of associated facilities to communication providers.

This ensures that the definition is aligned to the Designation.
